Success

BayTech-Oakland has made a steady progress in student achievements in its first three years of operation. Our teachers strive for excellence and will continue to improve our API growth rate in the upcoming years.

API Progress

BayTech-Oakland showed outstanding performance growth in API considering the challenging demographics of the area that it is serving for. The school student body is largely from a socio-economically disadvantaged population; currently 70% of the students are qualified for free or reduced lunch. BayTech compared its API growth to similar public schools that BayTech’s students would have otherwise attended. BayTech performs higher than all of the similar schools in school-wide API scores. In subgroups of African-American and socio-economically disadvantaged students, BayTech performs much higher than the median score and outperforms all schools except for one.
